Klintman is ranked as a 4-star prospect and the 123rd best rookie in the 2022 class by 247Sports. Although a native of Sweden, Klintman played for Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire Kansas, where he helped the Buffaloes to a 22-4 record and 1 seed at the 2022 Geico Nationals tournament this year.
Klintman originally committed to play in Maryland on offers from Rutgers, Kansas, Texas A&M, Loyola-Chicago and Virginia, but decided to reopen his recruiting after Mark Turgeon resigned. He then signed a letter of intent to play for Colorado earlier this spring, but when it became “is no longer an option“, he reopened his engagement again before finally deciding to become a Demon Deacon.
From what little I’ve seen of Klintman, he looks exactly like the type of player Steve Forbes wants for his positionless, 4-out/5-out offense. He has a great combination of size and athleticism at 6-9 and shoots great from the outside. According to On3’s Jamie Shaw, “Bobi Klintman’s frame immediately pops the second he steps on the floor. He has a legit height and long arms; he moves in a way that may remind some of Keegan Murray at the same stage. Klintman is skilled, and he can knock down the three-point shot from the grip and push the rebound break. He is a fluid athlete and is learning to change composition and defend on the block. Klintman, originally from Sweden, will have to continue to get used to the speed of the game and grow stronger. But there are many natural tools to work with and develop. You have to be intrigued by the positive side. Klintman’s brother, Ibbe, is a striker in the Central Arkansas.
