An infamous blogger’s husband has avoided jail time despite driving with ice in his system and having an unrestrained child in his car.
Denim Cooke, who is married to Perth social media identity Constance Hall, was also driving with an expired licence.
Cooke appeared in Perth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and was fined $3,750 plus court costs.
In addition to the fines, Cooke was banned from driving for 15 months.
Magistrate Richard Huston said he was lucky not to be jailed.
“It’s borderline imprisonment, do you understand that?” asked the magistrate.
“Make no mistake, you could have caused massive tragedy for your own family, let alone others.”

Blogger Constance Hall shot to fame shortly after publishing her first book, Like A Queen, in July 2016.
Police prosecutors said Cooke was driving on the Stirling Highway in Mosman Park, south west of Perth’s CBD, at around 5.30pm on December 19 last year when he was stopped by police.
After having an oral swab, Cooke tested positive for methamphetamine, with officers discovering that a court had disqualified his license in October.
One of his children was sitting in the front passenger seat without a seat belt.
The court also heard that this was Cooke’s seventh conviction for driving under suspension.
In August 2020, a motorcycle accident left Cooke in a coma with a brain injury as well as a crushed spine and a collapsed lung.
He was placed in an induced coma for 12 days and he recently said the incident had a “catastrophic” effect on his life.
Hall’s Warts and all mummy blogs have seen her become globally recognized in recent years.
Already a smash hit on Facebook, Hall self-published her first book, Like A Queen, in July 2016 and her life began to blossom even more.
January 2018 saw the couple wed and after enduring difficult times as husband and wife, Hall addressed rumors last year that the couple had split.
“I would like to take this opportunity to present to the media this insane concept of love, which survives the storms of life again and again, a love which coexists with the changes in the lives of its participants, a love so solid that he finds his social media validation policy redundant,” she wrote on Instagram.
“A love that just because it is doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt and just because I can’t label it doesn’t mean I can’t express it.
“A love that will forever be only for Con and his Denz.”
