Former Buccaneers defender and blogger dies at 48

Stephen White, defensive end for the Buccaneers in the late 1990s to early 2000s and blogger, has died aged 48.

The Buccaneers and NFL fans today will mourn the loss of former blogger turned gamer, Stephen White.

White was a member of the Bucs from 1996-2001, playing a key role as a rotating defensive end on some of the best rosters in franchise history.

Number 94 finished his career with the Buccaneers with 11 sacks, 102 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and a huge playoff interception.

After playing for the Bucs, Steve was also a member of the Jets for a season, but he will always be a Buccaneer in the hearts of fans.

Late in his football career, White became a beloved blogger who covered the NFL, mostly focusing on the team he played for during his career.

White was able to build a following thanks to his ability to express his immense knowledge of the sport through the written word. There was a large group of people who were touched by reading what White was able to publish, and even this writer has fond memories of seeing the things he wrote.

The Buccaneer community and quality writing fans as a whole have lost a great man. Steve White will always be a name that will remain fondly with people around the world who knew his work.

As it stands, no one is currently wearing number 94 for the Buccaneers this year, but if they did, you can be sure they would have a tough job ahead as they try to do this right. issue following this tragic news.
