The blogger revealed details of family disputes amid Traci Braxton’s death

Many were stunned to learn that Traci passed away as news of her illness only became public after her passing. But according to blogger Sharrell’s World, there were a few media entities that knew about it. Out of respect for Traci’s wishes, they did not discuss her illness on a public platform.

Sharrell revealed in a video that the family disagreed with Traci’s husband, Kevin Surratt Sr., over memorial service plans. According to Sharrell’s report, Traci left her son Kevin Jr. in charge of her estate because she knew her sisters would fight her husband. But Sharrell says Kevin Jr. respected his mother’s last wishes, including a public memorial, which Traci’s sisters and their mother were against. Still, Kevin Jr. proceeded according to Traci’s wishes.

Despite this, neither the sisters nor their mother attended the private or public memorial. Sharrell also noted that many family members are not fans of Towanda’s boyfriend, Sean Hall, and that Towanda’s teenage daughter has expressed discomfort with him. Traci had a falling out with Hall, which happened over the last two seasons of Braxton Family Values.

The same information revealed by Sharrell was later leaked to Page Six, this time with sources close to the sisters. “Traci didn’t want a funeral or a wake. She didn’t want people looking at her whole body. She specifically asked to be immediately cremated…There was a Zoom meeting that made it clear what she wanted, and now her husband is trying to cash in on her name,” a Braxton insider told the outlet.

Towanda Braxton says she is preparing a lawsuit against the blogger for alleged lies

Braxton caught wind of the video and took to Instagram under an accompanying post on Sharrell’s page to let her know her thoughts. Not only does Braxton say Sharrell is lying, but she is also threatening to take legal action against the blogger.

“I will have our attorney send you a formal letter for libel and slander,” Braxton said in a comment. “As you know, as a blogger, you can’t say what you want. Good luck,” she warned.

Sharrell hit back at Braxton, writing, “Are you serious right now? Are you really in my comments section trying to start a jam with me? How old are you again? Isn’t it time to grow up?

But Braxton didn’t have it. “You are so disrespectful and insensitive,” she told Sharrell. “Growing up?! Is there an age to stop crying? Growing up after mourning?! Wow. You’re a job.

The Braxton family had their own private memorial honoring Traci Braxton

Neither of the Braxton sisters nor their mother have ever publicly explained why they did not attend the private or public memorial orchestrated by Traci’s husband and son. Kevin Sr. spoke with Page Six and told the outlet that he extended an invitation to them and they opted out of attending. He also noted that while they didn’t invite them to their private memorial in honor of what would have been Traci’s 51st birthday on April 2, he hopes they can work out their issues.

Prior to the memorial, Toni spoke with Tamron Hall and revealed that the Braxton family will memorialize Traci privately. The famous photographer Freddy O was present to immortalize the event. Several photos of the sisters, their mother and famous friends in attendance have made their way onto social media platforms.

All of the guests wore a bright green ensemble, which seemed to be the dress code and a favorite color of Traci. Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Nene Leakes and singer Keke Wyatt were both in attendance.
