Watch: Blogger shows Masala Kaju Samosa being made at restaurant in Ghaziabad

We all love street food from India, but samosa holds a special place in our hearts. The fried snack filled with aloo brightens our mood with every bite. Our go-to chai-time dish, samosa is something no one can say no to (or, at least, can’t say no to). While aloo is the obvious stuffing for samosa found all over the country, many people also like to experiment with other ingredients like paneer and matar. However, one thing remains the same: the delicious crunch on the outside and the spicy, fiery filling on the inside. You may have seen and tasted many versions of samosa, but this one kind of surprised us. Masala kaju samosa – did you know this version of samosa?

YouTube channel ‘Food Fatafat’ introduced us to this brand new samosa avatar that’s packed with crunchy, creamy cashews, topped with a catpata masala powder. It sounds so good, imagine how it would taste?! This samosa was discovered at Shagun Sweets in Ghaziabad, and the blogger in the video shows off the entire making process.

This is how the masala kaju samosa is made in the video: in a large machine that kneads the flour automatically, we put maida, peanut oil and water. After the dough is lightly kneaded, it is removed into a large container. Then the kaju is fried in oil until golden, for about 15 minutes. Kaju is removed using a sieve and excess oil is removed. Then a special masala samosa, made with spices like black pepper powder, dry chutney, salt and many other ingredients, is added to the fried kaju. Then the dough is divided into small parts and rolled out, and each is stuffed with kaju masala and folded to make samosa. Finally, all these are fried to make crispy samosas and masaledaar.
